Happy Birthday Kays and Dusters!
We all hope you guys had a great day. Dusting, blog and tell us what you did on your birthday and what you got in your packages. We love you!!
Kaley had a little surprise party at the Black Bear Diner. Mom and Dad had a few of her friends meet us there and we surprised her and had brunch. It was fun. Her friends gave her some nice gifts and I think she was really surprised. Here's a short video of the "surprise"... even though you can't see Kays that great.

slow down my beating heart
I watched Kaley play tonight against the undefeated Miramonte. Wow! My heart was seriously pounding... it was a rush. Kaley did awesome. First of all, she started and played almost the ENTIRE game. It was so fun and exciting. Every time a new sub would come in she was assume it was for her and would almost run out and then when she realized she wasn't being taken out her face looked surprised. It was cute. Anyway, the team they played was crazy. HUGE girls and very violent. I would have been terrified. But NGHS played so well. They really never gave up and it was a great game. Kaley scored 5 points, I think and had some assists. Although when it comes to the stats... I don't know much. Ask Dad. Anyway, I took some pictures which I'll post tomorrow and here's a video of the starting line-up. Great job Kaley. You're an awesome player.

Scripture Reading.....
Ok, for those of you who are doing the challenge, you should be through 1 Nephi 21 today. That's 3 chapters a day since last Monday. We might have to adjust the amounts per day in a little while but for now this is good.
HOW IS IT GOING? DID EVERYONE DO IT?
Something that I read that I really liked this week is 1 Nephi 14:14. I always worry about my kids growing up and going out into the "world". In this chapter it is talking about the church of the devil (which I consider to be the world) and how it will gather together to fight against the church of God. Scary. It is hard to stand against the world. But in vs. 14 it says that the people of God will be "armed with righteousness and with the power of God" in order to fight the world. Of course we and our kids can fight the world because we have God on our side. I liked that part.
Did you have anything stand out to you?? Did you learn something new?
Oh and Michelle, you said you wanted to join and we would love to have you do the challenge with us and feel free to comment!!
Thanks for doing this with me guys!!
