Logan's first blog

So now Logan wants to blog, this is what he told me to write:

Logan loves the beach. Logan loves playing computer games. Logan loves to wrestle with his mommy. Logan likes to wretsle with his daddy too. Once Logan was wrestling with mommy with a beach ball and we kept we kept throwing it at eachother. And I like mommy cause she reads me books. And I love daddy cause he reads books to me too. Right now we are reading Charlotte's Web. I like it cause grandpa always gives me treats. I'm going to miss Dustin when he's at college. At preschool I liked it cause we colored the letter we were learning about and glued beans on the glue. And that's all.

Love,
Logan

Lexi's first blog

All of this, including the title is exactly what Lexi told me to write because she has been wanting to blog:

When I was going to grandma b's house for a family reunion in washington, right when I went in, Katie started tackling me. And then she calmed down and I started to play with her and I played fetch with her bunny, and I thought it was really fun and I wish I had a dog like that. I also chased her around the house and I got to hold the leash when we went to the dog kennel to drop her off. And I was sad when we let her go to the dog kennel because I wanted to play with her more. Here is a picture of a dog that I think is cute.

love, Lexi

Blog Pressure

Denae this is a good idea! It will help me take a little time to say hi. These last few months I have felt tremendous pressure as a family outcast because I don't have a blog (kinda teasin but not really). I know most of you have made it in the business world and receive salaries even if you don't go into work. However, some of us work strictly off of commision and have to put in 65 hours a week and don't have time to sit on the computer and type away (kinda teasin once again but not really). So anyway my quick "hi". I am still selling pest control and am as burned out as ever. I never want to talk to a housewife that says her husband makes all of the "financial decisions" again. I never want to hear "he makes the money so he makes those decisions and doesn't get home till 8 p.m." again. I never want to see a trail of ants an inch thick in front of the door and hear "I do it myself and it works great" again, and when I point out the ant trail he says "those don't get in the house". Hello! They have to be going somewhere buddy. I never want to hear "I haven't seen a single bug in years" again, because obviously that person does not lead a normal life and must live in a vacume if he has not seen a bug in years. I never want to get someone interested only to hear "my spouse is not here but I will call you tonight" and never hear from them again. In short, it has been a good summer financially and I am grateful for the job, but I never want to hear anything to do with bugs or pest control again! I have still had a good summer though. We went to the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert and it was a blast and I have gone to the beach a lot as well. We also love living by Kim's family because they feed us really well and we love them. Anyway, now that you have all heard of the exciting life I have led this summer, I love you all and hope all is well. Goodbye and Goodluck.

dadders speaks

well -- i don't know if i will be doing this much. but i'm good for a few words here and there. i didn't mind going out to protect denae...............actually i just went out to make her feel safer and get some sleep. i didn't get much sleep but that is probably because i was thinking about the golf tournament at 7:00 a.m. and i played as lousy as i have played this summer. nice course, but new to me and we were surprised by streams, distances, and greens. but it was fun. and it was nice to see denae and lexi come and say hi on the fourth hole.

i just went and picked up the jeep. mom told you about its latest problem. it might be on its last legs. maybe we will donate it to the blind or the jewish charity and take the tax deduction. dustin got his use out of it and it lasted through six kids but now it might just be time to say..............13 years and 175,000 miles is enough. we are not mechanics and it is a little embarassing taking it to a guy we use to fix our cars. his name is dwayne and he likes mom. but i am sure he is wondering why we still have this car.

this wednesday we head off to byu-idaho to drop off number six.........dustball. the house in walnut creek will seem very quiet with just kaley, landon, and shadow. the cat doesn't make much noise or present problems like shadow. as we were sitting there tonight, shadow comes in and throws up right in front of us and begins to eat his vomit. i think there is a scripture referencing that..............anyway, mom freaks out and i have to clean up the mess. so we will still have excitement as long as shawdow is around.

tomorrow we will ordain dustin an elder. that is a nice milestone. in less than a year, he will be somewhere in the world on a mission. he is preparing and has a good attitude and sensitive spirit. he will make a good missionary.............as did chad, devin, and now brett. and oh ya, pete and dave. all good missionaries and doing what the Lord wants.

i love you all and i don't know how personal these are supposed to be, but what the heck...............and i would like to be the first to say it, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD". It's my birthday and now i am another year older and still as good looking as i have ever been. but need to work desperately on the weight issue as i am sure you all noticed during the reunions this summer. well, here i go again and by christmas i should be down about 30 lbs.

two good movies to go see. the illusionist and invinceable. both very good. the illusionist was surprisingly good and one of the best mom and i have seen for several months.

see you all later. angie and pete, that will be friday night and devin and kim.......either friday night or saturday.

the dadders

p.s. thanks in advance for all the gifts.................
First of all about the picture Denae put up....we used to be alot cuter! Also, after Denae's last post she got a little bit freaked because she had just told everyone on the world-wide-web that she was home alone...so Dad went out and slept on her couch! He didn't mind though as he was golfing out there in the morning and I think he liked coming to the rescue! He also liked it when he saw Denae and Lexi watching for him later that day on one of the holes. On a sad note, Dustin called awhile ago to say that he was at the store and there was smoke coming out of the engine of the jeep. Dad went to get him and there was water in the radiator so....I wish we had a mechanic in the family. Anyway, I think that the jeep is history, we probably will not pay to fix it again. If any of you want to say "goodbye" call and I'll take the phone out so you can have a "moment". Enough for now....Denae may be sad she started this...mommers

home alone

So Dave's on another scout campout. Yippee. That means I'm home alone all night which I don't love. I'm hearing strange noises and wishing mom and dad lived a little closer. I know I'll be fine......... at least I hope I'll be fine. And I have an opinion. I think wards should call dad's of scouts to be the scout masters and assistants..... if Logan was in scouts right now it would be great that dave was camping ... you know what I mean???

Hey Fam!!

This is a cool idea Denae. I have my own blog and at the moment I don't have much else to say but I'm excited to hear from everyone else. I am still in the middle of volleyball tryouts and it's really fun. The girls are awesome and we have a lot of fun together. I take my drivers test next Wednesday. School starts on Monday. Today me and Mom went school shopping and I got tons of clothes and a hecka sweet Superman backpack! Well, I hope you are all happy! I love ya'll!

Denae this is a great idea! Count the Chad Blodgetts IN! You should check out Famster.com because maybe we should just do everything there?

Let me know what you think.

First family blog

Hey guys,
I thought it would be fun to have a family blog where everyone can post stuff whenever they want. Mostly I thought it would be a good place for people like mom and dad, devin and kim and Landon since they don't have blogs. But I want everyone to contribute sometimes! It will be fun!
