Missing Matt

Yesterday was Matt's last day living as a Blodgett.
We are sad to see him go but I wonder if he feels the same way.
I got pretty good at saying, "go ask Matt" whenever Landon wanted help with his homework.
I will miss that!

Denny was happy to have someone else to enjoy sports with....we didn't enjoy the BYU game, although we watched it.

Matt is probably already missing his comfy leapard print bed.
And I know he will miss being beat at fast scrabble...j/k... we will not miss being beat at fast scrabble!

He has promised to visit once in a while ...I think at least during the world series.
Bye-Bye Matt

Protect Marriage!

Hey family... First of all it is snowing already here in Rexburg... I am freezing my bum off! But I just wanted to make a quick post about this whole proposition 8 subject. I have recieved some emails and looked up some videos that I have found interesting... We have a big fight in front of us. This first video is the news clip that Dad sent us,
http://cbs5.com/video/?id=40324@kpix.dayport.com,
This next one is from a Sister missionary that I served with... it is an interesting video,
http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1815825713,
This next one is the video clip from Elder Bednar answering young adults questions,
http://www.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/media/mediaplayer.swf?media=http://broadcast.lds.org/newsroom/video/flv/bednar_edit02_150k.flv&type=FLV,
This next one is a video from young adults about gay marriage,
http://www.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/media/mediaplayer.swf?media=http://broadcast.lds.org/newsroom/video/flv/Prop_8_Young_People_Master_150k.flv&type=FLV,
Finally this last one is about a first grade class in San Francisco that took a field trip to the wedding of their teacher and her partner,
http://www.protectmarriage.com/article/first-graders-taken-to-san-francisco-city-hall-for-gay-wedding

I recieved my ballot yesterday and have never been more excited to vote. Emily got an assigment from her bishopric this week to volenteer at least four hours in the BYU-I calling center to call undecided voters in California. Alot of the men and woman I work with also have been recieving calls in their wards and stakes. They are helping us out up here and in Utah. There has been talk that if this passes, newly weds wouldn't be able to recieve pell grants at BYU becuase we do not support gay marriage. Also that we would have to get married first civily and then in the temple. There are two websites that I really like, http://www.preservingmarriage.org/ this is the church site, and then the site of the colalition is, http://www.protectmarriage.com/.
All this has been pretty interesting and I know that it has been the topic of conversation in California for awhile now but it is now the topic of conversation here in Rexburg. I love you family, your "da best" and I hope we can get this to pass. Thought you might find this interesting.
