DAD'S TOYOTA

"What could I a big person possibly do with a Toy Ota?"

Love the non-boring color! And it has a dark charcoal interior.

It came with Bluetooth through the stereo system. When someone calls, He just has to hit a button on the steering wheel.

Did i mention it also has 8 stereo speakers.

Pretty Sweet !!!

This is where Dad parked the car, his new car is that tiny dot in the distance...and he took over my garage space!

As seen from his office..where he can keep an eye on it.

The infinity is 9 years old and has 175,000 miles on it. It is making an interesting noise and is more expensive than a normal car to repair, and seems to have more exotic things to go wrong with it...so it is now semi-retired. And by the way, when Mom rides in the new Camry she looks extremely "sexy" !!!

Why I Love living in California

It's the middle of February here in California and these are some of the sights I see everyday.

I pass this cool camellia tree everyday on my way to pick up Landon.

Also on my way is this tree. I think it is a magnolia tree and the flowers are as big as my hand. I seethese trees all over the place right now. Wish I had one!

In our back yard.

Magnolia again!

Our tree from the window upstair!

Just took this picture out the car window...it was just too pretty to past up!
Yup, I love it here!

Yellow isn't usually my favorite but when you see this on the side of the road it's pretty amazing.

So I do have a few reason for living in California!

BRIONES CREST LOOP HIKE

Saturday, Denny, Landon and I went on a hike called the Briones Crest loop. It was suspose to be 5.6 miles and take about 3 hours....unfortunately we didn't complete the loop as intended. We took a wrong turn and ended up in Pleasant Hill about 3 miles from the car. OPPS!
It was beautiful and 70 degrees in February.

This is our lunch spot and maybe where Landon from poison oak.

Why am I always ahead of everyone and is Landon calling for pick up?

Cute little salamander we saw.

POISON OAK & LANDON

A hike in the open space is just not complete for Landon anymore until a couple of days has passed and he starts breaking out all over in Poison Oak!

These pictures do not do it justice. It has been red and weepy and oozy!
He has had to wrap his arms in ace bandages to keep the pus off his clothes and other people.
Sweet Kaley won't let him anywhere near her or anything she owns!

Did I mention that he is on the volleyball team and has to use these arms to hit the ball?
Nasty!

When will he learn to not roll around in the bushes?

BIRTHDAYS!

KALEY IS 19!!
It is hard to believe that she is so old and grown up. For her birthday I took her to the movie, Dear John", the 11:00 showing. Denae and family came over for dinner, cake and presents. The next day she and I went to Wicked (yet again). We did the lottery and had very good seats because when the lights went down we moved over almost to the center. It was great!

Denae provided the cake topper, rated R.

Dustin is 22!
He was home with Moriah the weekend before his birthday so we had birthday/engagement cake!
I had mailed all his presents to Provo:(

22 candles was too much for that little cake!

Happy Birthday!

CHRISTMAS 2009

We enjoyed Christmas with all most all of the family. The following pictures are a little out of order. We had the Crowleys and Leiningers over for Christmas Eve dinner and a program.

Christmas Eve with the little ones. What could be in their packages?

Kim helping out with the Christmas Eve dinner.

Uncle Landon helping out with keeping the kids busy. I guess he is playing dead.
Lexi, Logan, Clayton, and Connor trying to save him.

Looks like Macy is now helping. Still out-of-it. Reminds me of my Dad when he wanted to play with my kids. Landon is taking over for Dad. He is the perfect Uncle.

Everyone ready to go , lined-up, and excited to see what Santa brought on Christmas morning. The line-up was from youngest to oldest. Stinks to be Chad as he is last............. and I think Brett and Dustin ran over the little ones to end up first. Competitive Boys !!!

Christmas Eve dinner.............great food, great company, and good looking Chef. We had the Crowleys and the Leiningers over with the Harlows and the rest of the crew.
Devin and Dustin always trying to help Mom. She would prefer them out of the kitchen.

Dustin's first Christmas at home in two years......sneaking the shrimp dip and crackers before dinner.

Grandpa and Wyatt.

Chad and Bennett.

Grandpa and Ciara.

The traditional opening of one present.................pajamas on Christmas Eve.

Brett and Emily and their beautiful smiles.

Christmas Eve dinner.....................looking good and it was delicious.

Emily and Denae...........getting ready for the Luke Chapter 2 Pageant. Video to
follow.
More food.

Kaley focusing on the Beetles Rock Band...............great Christmas gift and had lots of fun playng and singing.

Dustin is singing and Emily is jamming. Julie loved this game..............sorry I didn't get a picture of her.

We had a great Christmas with almost everyone there. We missed Angie and Pete and their kids, but its a long ways to travel with so many little ones. We enjoyed the family and played hard.................and sang a lot..............and ate tons of food. Christmas 2009 is now history.
