Pete Teaching @ BYU

Guys, I'll be teaching at The Marriott School of Management in the Winter semester. I'll be teaching Operations & Supply Chain Management, which is a required class in the Management Core. I'll be teaching a Tuesday and Thursday class from 8AM to 9:20AM. I'm excited and it's a priveledge to be teaching at BYU.

So far, there are 49 students enrolled in my class. You can view the Winter Schedule here and look at BUSM361 and you'll see my name "ABILLA P" as the instructor.

Devin, you'll have to take this class to graduate -- if you take it from me, I might decide to be nice to you . . .

BYU is the greatest!

For all the brothers...this team wasn't too good. I copied this off the school website.

Northgate Pounds Carmel in Season Opener
Haley Dahlgard's steal from Carmel with a feed to Courtney Hamilton downcourt for a layup kicked off the Lady Broncos scoring for the 2006-2007 season, and set the tone for a 59 - 9 victory over the Carmel Padres.

The Broncos' uptempo offense lead to plenty of scoring opportunities despite a relatively low percentage shooting from the floor, 24-62 (39%). Northgate played tenacious defense, with the team's speed and pressure on the ball handler leading to numerous steals and forcing Padre turnovers. Carmel didn't score until 12 minutes into the game, and didn't score again until halfway through the third period.

The entire team saw significant minutes on the court, and Bronco scoring was well distributed. In fact, the Bronco bench scored 30 of the teams 59 points. Kaley Blodget led all Broncos with 12 points on 6 of 10 shooting. Courtney Hamilton, Valerie Middleton and Lisa Espinosa each scored 8 points. Jessica Trautner collected 8 rebounds while shutting down the main Carmel offensive threat. Kelly Peterson scored 7 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and recorded a team high 6 steals to round out the Bronco stat sheet.

The Broncos will face host Salinas Friday night in the Semi-Final game. Salinas defeated St. Francis 42-39.

Only in Utah

This is hecka, flippin' funny:

Christmas Music

I'm a little tired of the same old songs. I mean I still love them, but wouldn't mind something new. Does anyone have any suggestions? What are your favorite albums (besides Carpenters, Babs, and Jonny Mathis)? I'm going to get a new CD this year, so give me some ideas and tell me which albums are good.

Thanks!

p.s. feel free to comment even if you are not a member of this family.

Who has Who for Christmas!

Ok everyone. We drew names. Logan drew them out of a hat for me and Dave wrote them down. If it seems like you always have the same person, or everyone has the same person every year, it's because we've done this for so many years, so we've probably had everyone. Any, we drew the names and here they are:

Pete gives to Landon
Angie gives to Denae
Dave gives to Dustin
Denae gives to Julie
Chad gives to Devin
Julie gives to Pete
Devin gives to Angie
Kim gives to Dave
Dustin gives to Kim
Kaley gives to Chad
Landon gives to Kaley

Merry Christmas!

This little girl that can whoop on everyone and has always been able to. I think she was born with it. I mean, what else could she be but a basketball star having 4 older brothers and a dad who love the sport? Anway, great job Kays... you'll do awesome.

Hey!

Well i havnt said anthing for a while so my bad. Just writing cause i just talked to Dad and he told me to blog about my experience with Elder Oaks. Last week Elder Bednar was here and spoke at our devotional. I tried to shake his hand but he took off afterwards and nobody shook his hand. This week it was Elder Oaks. After he spoke i ran up to the stage with max and a couple other people. We ended up gettin in a little line and as we got close, we tried to take a picture with him. He shook my hand and told me that he cant do that cause he'd never finish with the line. I was holding his hand all throughout this little conversation we had. So basically the story is that i shook hands with Elder Oaks and actually got a couple pictures of him. Im tight...later..............O and i have 2 dodgeball games this week, 1 bowling game and 1 basketball game. I might tell you guys how i do if i feel like it. Later!

Scary Halloween Characters

This is what kaley and landon wore to school on halloween day. I can see landon wearing superman, but what 15 year teenage girl would wear a dalmation outfit in front of her peers at school. Hello. But Kaley marches to her own drum and that is what we love about her. Her friends would never do it, but they wish they had the guts to do so. They had fun and yes, Kaley did go trick or treatin with a couple of 14 year old boys (luke bogner and nate lee) because none of her friends would go for the candy. They just wanted to party. And Kaley has told me that boys are more fun to hang out with than girls anyway. We hope you enjoy the pictures. Mom and I just stayed at home and handed out candy and we did have our fog machine hooked up and as the kids came to the door, we would let the fog fly and we did scare some of them................

Presents for kids

Clayton had a great birthday with some sweet toys. However, his favorite toy for the last week or more, has been the instruction manual from the small legos that mom and dad got him. It first started off where he would just carry it around and look at all the pictures. Now, he cuts them out, puts a little piece of tape on them, and then hangs them from various places in the house.

I think I will just get him a newspaper for christmas!

Oh Great Perfidy, By Kameron

Oh Great Perfidy, By Kameron

+++++

Once upon a time, an ugly, mean princess went out to water the flowers, "Grow!!", she screamed. Hearing the anger in her voice, the flower started to grow. It grew and grew so much. It was as tall as the castle! than night when the princess was planning her evil duties for tomorrow, she started to feel tired, so went to bed.

At 20 past twelve o'clock, the princess had a nightmare. She was feeling weird. In the dream, the princess turned into a sunflower. She woke up terrified and shivering. The princess was outside. She was wearing yellow! The princess hated wearing yellow. But, reader, she was not wearing yellow -- she was yellow! She had turned into a sunflower.

"Ah, Ah, Ah, No" the princess screamed when she found out that I'm telling you this story, but also because she's a flower. "I don't want to be some ugly thing that grows in the sand!" she exclaimed.

"After you're nice, I'll let you go" said a voice. "It's me, sunflower, for that is my name. I will teach you to be nice, soft, and kind."

Oh great Perfidy the princess wailed, for she is still a sunflower and all she can do is hope until she's nice.

trying to be a photographer

Trying to take a cool picture at the park the other night. We just got our family pic taken by a lady who did a good job but I just think I could have done it just as well..... you know? I mean it's not that hard to take a picture. And it's fun. You just need a lot of money to buy a super good camera and then you can do it. Maybe someday I'll have a lot of money and will try to become a photographer. Just for fun. Hope everyone is doing well and is happy and had a good weekend. love you guys.

We had a great time visiting Dustin this weekend. We toured campus, watched his intramural game, watched lost on the plasma, went to his class, porked out at Craigo's, etc, etc. It looks like he is doing really good, everyone was saying HI to him, his room was clean, and he was taking good notes. Thanks for havin' us Dust.

Kaley's Homecoming Week

Here are pictures of what Kaley wore to school this week. She says it is her favorite week of the year. In the third quarter of the homecoming football game the score was 42 to 0. Guess who had 0?? Nobody knows what the final score was cause everybody left! Her outfits were: Pirate, Spirit, Sixties, and Celebrity...she was Terri Irwin.

This Is For Kim

The city of Brentwood has an Elkins way! And when I drove by it today I thought of Kim........ so here's a picture of it!

MySpace is for old people

A recent study on the MySpace demographics came out yesterday. You can find it here. It shows that over 50% of the MySpace users are 35 and older. This means that millions of teeny boppers are socializing with a lot of old people. That fact makes you want to be more cautious with your own kids being on MySpace.

Proud Mom Alert

Today was the primary program in our ward. It was sooo cute. When it was first starting I had a laugh/panic attack because Logan was sitting right up there on the stand picking his nose like crazy!! I mean he was really digging!! I was mortified but also laughing really hard because it's typical Logan to not even be aware of his surroundings to know he's sitting in front of a hundred people picking his nose. After he did his part so well the lady behind us said, "well, he might be a nose picker but he sure can memorize his part!" or something like that. Then for then next 20 minutes he was being assaulted by the annoying little boy right by him. I mean this kid was in his face! I was fuming!!!! The kid is sooooo horrible and finally when Logan was near tears trying to fend this guy off, Dave went up onto the stand and grabbed the kid and moved him over to the other side of the bench. That was a relief and Logan was fine the rest of the hour.

This is where I start bragging. Lexi and Logan both said their parts perfectly! Logan's was, "I lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ before I came to earth." Lexi's was D&C 1..... "what I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken.... etc etc. It was a long scripture to memorize and she did sooo good! She also was asked to sing a solo. We practiced a lot but I had never heard her practice in the microphone or with the lady accompaning her and when she started singing I had to hold back the tears! It was really sweet and she did a great job. She wasn't even nervous! She sang, "Did Jesus really live again?" and hearing her sweet little voice singing the words made me happy and proud and tearful. So that was fun. Now that's the end of my "BLAG" and Julie would say. (o:
