Shadow loves mom

Shadow is the same old dog that follows mom everywhere. But I have a controversial topic to discuss. Shadow is causing mom a lot of extra stress and anxiety in her life. Mom would have a huge burden lifted from her shoulders if Shadow passed on. So remember that in your prayers. Also, if you feel ok about mom and dad putting Shadow "asleep" feel free to voice your support to them. She is not happy (the dog). She is constantly wetting herself and then feeling stressed because she did something wrong but couldn't really control it. She also goes #2 at random moments. Bottom line is she can't control her bowels. She also can't hardly lift her hind end off the ground when she gets up. She's going down hill. Why not help her "go toward the light?" Let's help her to move on while we still have some good memories of her. Let me know what you think... honestly! By the way, this is entirely my idea, so don't blame mom. I just think everyone would be more at peace if Shadow was at peace in doggie heaven.

I am fine with Shadow going to Doggie heaven. Especially if she is in pain and she probably is because she's so old.

Amen to that sis! I am 100% with Shadow living. And kaley brought up a good point...are we gonna shove a needle in mom and quitely pet her when she gets too old and cant control her bowels??! I think not and shadow has saved all of our lives so why end hers? One time she ate a spider that could've given me a rare disease from africa. It was a crazy looking spider. Another time she cushioned my fall. She has always been there and is way better than lassie. Let's keep her alive ...she'll get some life back in her when i come back! Afetr all, she loved me the most. Also to deal with th smell, i will put on the nasty sweater angie gave shadow and spray it with my cologne...problem fixed. LONG LIVE SHADOW!!!

Amen to the brudders and the sistas comments! I would think that at this time during conference we would remember how God notices "the fall of a sparrow" and also the commandment "thou shalt not kill". Notice it doesn't say "thou shalt not kill humans", I think he is also talkng about loyal pets. Long live Shadow!

YES! I'm with dadders... Devin gets to clean up Shadow's tinkle that smells like a dead animal its self! I cleaned it up a week or two ago and thought I'd pass out from the smell. Dustin, maybe that's why Shadow has so many problems... she ate a spider??? Wow, had you forgotten to feed her that day??? You have to be starving to eat a spider.

You guys... this is rediculous... All of you "shadow lovers" out there are so full of it! Mostly (at this point) Kaley and Devin. Dustin, I must say has shown shadow quite a bit of love.

The only time I've EVER seen Kaley be nice to Shadow is when this topic comes up and she forces herself to kiss or pet Shadow.

Haven't you guys ever heard of dog years? If Shadow has been around as long as Kaley, that actually means she/he is over 100 years old. Most people I know who are that old (not that many) with bad hips, skin disease, loose bowels, and facial growths, who barf every other day, and are deaf would probably jump on the chance to "go toward the light".

No, I'm not saying we should stick a needle in mommers when she's old (obviously)... but I'm saying we should let Denny and Jill (the ones who clean up the tinkle, barf, hair, poop, etc.) make the decision. It's a DOG people! Send her/him to puppy heaven, then we'll see her in the resurrection in her prime! That will be awesome!

In the spirit of conference, let's have some compassion on the suffering animal.

By the way... Devin, didn't you make tons of money the last couple of summers selling contracts to KILL thousands of God's creations? Not just once, but on a contractual basis to kill every month... Ouch...

Well gang... I love you all and I just like to have fun with controversial subjects like this. I hope I didn't make anyone feel bad. I'm sure I didn't.

And can I end with this?

LONG LIVE SHADOW.... after the resurrection!

Dave...God notices the fall of "every sparrow". Sparrow's are mamals. I'm sure he doesn't care about insects. And I never claimed to be a shadow lover, I just don't think we should "play God". When it's her time, God will take her...maybe she still has a mission to fulfill her on earth! Long live shadow!

Ok, I'm laughing so hard at this little "discussion" You guys are funny. You all make very good arguments. I'm not emotionally or spiritually involved in this subject so I can't really share an opinion, but all I can say is "Just Say No to the three P's" sorry.

what the heck are the 3 P'S?? Did I miss out on something involving 3 P'S? And Dev, thanks for the laugh about "playing God"... that was funny. But a little bit bad.

I think Shadow will decide to go when Mom goes. She follows her everhwere, Shadow is just waiting for someone to go through the veil with...that'd be Mom. She's still got tons left in her fam! Let's bring this subject up again in 10 years.

Hi Chad, (this is Mom, not denny) Thanks so much for offering to be Shadows caregiver for awhile. I'm coming to Utah this weekend and I'll just bring her to you! I am so excited, this is a way for you and her to reconnect and I get a little vacation from constant inhome care. You are the best! See you Friday!

oh, Chad, that's so sweet of you! You and the kids will have such a great time bonding with Shadow. Just make sure you put her out every 5 minutes so that she doesn't tinkle a gallon of death on your floor. Oh and don't leave her out for too long because she'll then bark at you incessantly. I love that you said Shadow would listen to your problems.... you guys were cute together, I have to admit. Those were her better days.
